Silk Aquarium Plants

My 40 gallon aquarium is cloudy?

I just set the aquarium up to about five days ago, cycling the tank and I have everything I needed (heater, filter, etc.) and now the fish have been there for three days and I get up this morning and the tank is cloudy, not much, but just a little tab. I have a Black ghost knife, bullet two sharks and angel fish (all of which are very small). All decorations (three silk plants, a large two-piece castles and two tubes of Phantom of the BGK) have been completely cleared and gravel. Did I do something wrong when setting the tank, and how can I fix the water cloudy? I forgot that I also have a small algae eater in the tank too.

I actually agree with the first answer, it would difficult to cycle the tank in five days. It takes a while for the bacteria (good) to build on the filter, but also in the substrate (gravel / sand). Depending on what I think and the amount of waste products from fish, there should be sufficient at present, but is underway. Now to do this would be the good time to do a water change. I would change from 25 to 30% of the water and not disturb the filter that is occupied at the time of the construction of good bacteria. So if you do not already have one, go get the test strips. You swim in the water for a second or two to shake and then match the colors that appear what is in the small package / can going on. They are not expensive. The cycle process (if you do not already know???) Ammonia is first stored …. Pee and Poo and bad food state … Ammonia will kill the small fish at levels … Change the water then after amonial shows up, nitrates appear …. This can kill fish at levels small … Change the water … and then at the end of the cycling process, nitrates are present, this is acceptable at lower levels and means that it is safe for fish and no ammonia or nitrites should appear again if you feed it, do not overload and keep the tank cleaned once a week 25-30% changes water. What we are seeing is a bacterial bloom and water should be changed immediately 25 to 30%. Then you need to test every day and if something comes to dangerous levels You should change the water. After a week or two of water here must stabelize, but depending on your tank could take longer. I would suggest Google (cycling aquarium).

Fish Tanks & Aquarium Maintenance : How to Clean Artificial Aquarium Plants

Fish farming is something that most fish keepers try to do with time. If you are planning to raise fish there are some things you need to successfully raise fish. One of the most important things while raising fish are baby food and a separate tank. If you are wondering what type of aquarium should be used for breeding, then this article answers all your questions.

The aquarium should be used for reproduction should be a separate aquarium is large enough to accommodate fish farming, while allowing them to swim in and out of it, if things get rough. If you is planning to raise Siamese Spelndens then the aquarium should have a capacity of 10 gallons. For larger fish farming as an aquarium angelfish can then contain 20 gallons of water is ideal. Acrylic aquariums are ideal breeding and aquariums, if you are planning to separate the fish, because these tanks are Available in convenient sizes and are resistant. You can get acrylic aquariums come with a hood or canopy. These types of aquariums are ideal for raising a hood prevent the fish from jumping out.

While fish farming, is important to remember that the aquarium should be at least three weeks old and should have completed the cycle nitrogen from a brand new aquarium, nitrifying bacteria can not harm the fish and the (potato) fingerlings. The aquarium chosen to breed the fish must have a sponge filter because this type of filter allows biological filtration that is beneficial to the fry, and sponge filters do not produce a large amount of turbulence water. The aquarium should have a few silk or real plants are raising fish that tend to fight during playback. The aquarium you choose to reproduce also must have a fluorescent light and a heater.

If you are using a network of breeders, we recommend opting for a network that does not stress the fish. The network of breeders should allow the fry to swim out of the network, keeping the mother in the network to avoid eating the fry. Breeder nets are ideal for smaller fish like Guppies tend to eat their own FRY. Breeder nets fit perfectly into standard 10 to 20 gallon acrylic aquariums and also is possible to obtain larger networks of the breeder's largest acrylic aquarium.
